GARDEN EGG SAUCE RECIPE

Garden egg sauce is a tasty Nigerian dish eaten in most homes. The main ingredient of the sauce is the garden egg, this sauce provides a lot of health and nutritional benefits that the body needs.
In most homes, the garden egg sauce is paired with boiled yam plantain and potatoes.

INGREDIENTS;
- Garden egg
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Palm oil
- Habanero pepper
- Flaked Fish ( I used Mackerel- Boiled, and De-boned )
- Seasoning
- Salt
- Crayfish
- Iru
Cooking steps;
- Wash the garden egg properly and boil for about 5-10 minutes. Take the garden egg off the heat, allow it cool. Cut the garden egg (you could remove the seeds if you want to) or crush them.
- Place a saucepan over medium heat, add palm oil allow it to fry for 2-3 minutes after that you add the onions then fry till the onions become translucent.
- Add the pepper, crayfish, seasoning, iru, and salt to taste, allow it to simmer for 10 minutes. Make sure you reduce the heat.
- After 10 minutes, add the garden egg and fish. Taste and adjust seasoning. Allow it to cook for 5 minutes.
You have your delicious garden egg sauce smiling at you. Enjoy the sauce with anything you want.
