What is Ice-cream?
Ice cream is a sweetened frozen food typically eaten as a dessert or snack. The meaning of the name varies from one country to another. Terms such as “gelato”, ‘frozen yogurt”, “frozen custard”, “sorbert” and “frozen custard”, “reduced-fat” etc. are used to distinguish varieties and styles.
Ice-cream cones were invented during the 1904 world fair in St. Louis, where large demand forced its vendors to find help from nearby waffle vendors. The most popular flavor is vanilla after it comes chocolates, strawberries, cookies n’ cream, and others. The United States produces the most ice cream in the world, also in the United States July is deemed to be “National Ice-cream month”.
Ice-cream headaches a “brain freeze” are the result of the nerve endings in the roof of your mouth sending a message to your brain of the loss of heat.
Before the development of modern-day refrigerators, ice cream was a high-end luxury reserved for special occasions. In 1843 Navy Johnson invented the ice-cream-making machine, it was originally operated with a hand crank and revolutionized the world of ice-cream production. Industrial production began in 1851 in Boston, united states.
Ice cream happens to be a huge source of vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, and E, it also contains vitamin K which prevents blood clotting. It provides energy, rich in carbohydrates, fats, and proteins which are all needed for our bodies to produce energy.
Minerals like calcium and phosphorous are found in it. Calcium is an essential mineral for us as it maintains healthy bones and reduces the chances of kidney stones. It also stimulates thrombotonin a hormone for happiness and helps in reducing the levels of stress in the body.

HOW TO MAKE ICE CREAM AT HOME?
INGREDIENTS
- Egg white (4)
- Vanilla flavor (1tbsp)
- Icing sugar (8 tbsp.)
- Gelatin (1/2 tbsp.)
- Evaporated milk (1tin)
PROCEDURE
- Remove the yolk of the egg from the egg white.
- Whisk/beat the egg white from foamy to stiff peaks.
- Empty the milk into another bowl and whisk.
- Add icing sugar to milk and stir.
- Whisk till the icing sugar dissolves and is thick.
- Dissolve the gelatin in hot water.
- Add the gelatin to the milk, mix together and pour the mixture into the whisked egg white.
- Add vanilla flavor or any flavor of your choice.
- Whisk all till well blended, put in a plate, and refrigerate.
